One of the best things about Parkville is the small town feel, close to the city. I think it’s important to know our neighbors, so I want to introduce you to some of your neighbors from time to time. This edition will highlight a couple who anyone would feel lucky to know. They do a lot to make Parkville a great place with their generosity and their commitment to supporting our local businesses. Meet Dee and Jo Carlson:

Jo and Dee have lived in the Kansas City Northland for most of their adult life and Parkville is their favorite. They currently live in The National.

They have been married for 27 years. They have three grown children, six grand kids and two dogs.

Dee is the Director of Sales for Aspen Paper and has been since 1999.

After retiring from a successful career as a teacher, Jo is now a part-time sales rep and team builder for Opulenza Designs, sterling silver jewelry. During 2020(what better time could there be), Jo has been able to use her small business to raise over $7000 for various charities that support our community.

On any given day, you will find Dee and Jo shopping, eating or otherwise supporting Parkville businesses. We are so lucky to have such a kind hearted and loyal family living here. If you see them around, say hello, they’ve never met a stranger.
