Hannah, Jacob & Daniel

Today’s version of Meet Your Neighbors will highlight the Lee Family.

Sam, Janelle, Hannah (6), Jacob (4) and Daniel (18 months) Lee live in the National Golf Club in Parkville.  They moved to the Kansas City area in 2015. They originally lived in midtown but bought their home in Parkville almost three years ago. Sam is a neonatologist and Janelle is a family practice physician.

Sam is originally from Southern California. Sam and their daughter Hannah moved to Kansas City in 2015 to start his three year neonatal-perinatal fellowship with Children’s Mercy Hospital. Janelle is originally from upstate New York. Janelle moved here about a month after Sam because she had an extra month in her medical training because of her maternity leave. The move was made a little easier because some of Sam’s childhood friends already called Kansas City home.

Sam spends his work days making sure our youngest residents are taken care of. He is a neonatologist for St. Luke’s Hospital System. He works at a number of their locations and the SPOT clinic but most of his time is spent at the Plaza’s NICU. Janelle, on the other hand, spends her work days taking care of all the residents of Parkville and surrounding areas, as she is a primary care physician at St. Luke’s Multispecialty Clinic here in Parkville.

When they aren’t working, you can always find Sam and Janelle spending quality time with their adorable three children- Hannah, Jacob and Daniel. They love all the family friendly activities and places in Parkville. They love going to Parkville’s nature preserve, Parkville’s Artisans Studio and Parkville Coffee. Hannah and Jacob attend Generation Maker’s Lab School in the Northland. Daniel is still a little too young for school but you can see him playing outside with his family on any given day.

The Lee’s are a wonderful addition to Parkville and our community is lucky to have them.
