Meet Your Neighbors-The Elson’s
When I think of Parkville, I always think of Elizabeth Elson and her amazing family. They have been staples in this community for many years. I feel lucky to have met Elizabeth through her equally wonderful mom Betsy, almost two years ago. Elizabeth and her husband, Patrick have lived in and around Parkville their whole lives. They grew up here and continue to be involved and give back to our community.
Patrick is a Paramedic Fire Fighter with North Kansas City and Elizabeth is in sales. When he isn’t working, you can find Patrick doing all things active–fishing, biking, hiking, walking their awesome dog Chief and frequently washing his truck. Elizabeth loves working out, cooking, reading, traveling, walking Chief and all things true crime. She is an amazing host and is great at bringing people together at her gorgeous home–from book clubs to promoting healthy products, Liz is the host extraordinaire. She is a very successful, independent consultant with one of my favorite health and wellness companies- Arbonne. elizabethelson.arbonne.com
Patrick, Elizabeth and Chief live in Cider Mill Ridge at the National. They say that they love everything about Parkville.” It feels like such a tight knit community. Anytime we tell someone we are from Parkville, their response is always, I love Parkville. It just has such a great vibe.” They love Nick and Jakes and Rancho Grande-two staples of Parkville life. They love English Landing Park and the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays in Downtown Parkville. They love the old, historic downtown and the fresh new development of the city. It is a perfect mix. Their lab, Chief loves everything and everyone he meets in Parkville.
I think it is safe to say that Parkville is lucky to have the Elson Family call Parkville home. They truly give as much to the community as Parkville provides for them. Next time you see them out in town or walking Chief (he’ll usually have a stick, limb or other treasure that he’s found on his walk, in his mouth) make sure to say hello.
