Parkville’s Paw Patrol
You can usually tell that a man is good if he has a dog who loves him- W. Bruce Cameron
I spend a lot of time talking about what a wonderful place Parkville is for me and my amazing neighbors to live, but I would be selling it short if I failed to mention some of the most important residents who call Parkville home. These very good boys and girls are more than just family pets. Especially during this past, unprecedented year our pets have served as our emotional support, our entertainment and the light on some pretty gloomy days. I think it is important to highlight some of Parkville’s best and most loyal community members.
You can find Ollie, Gunner, Cooper, Chief, Max, Mazie, Cleo, Arlie, Happy, Sasha, Oliver, Jerry, Newman, Ella, Bailey and Lucy enjoying walks in their neighborhoods, English Landing Park or even taking a ride in their family car on any given day. They all agree that Parkville has the best places to walk, play and enjoy their families. There are even two pet friendly restaurants in downtown Parkville (Cafe des Amis and Frank’s Italian) or you can take a ride to Sonic Drive-In where your four legged friend is a welcome guest. Aside from the many places to walk, Parkville has an off leash dog park at Platte Landing Park which is adjacent to English Landing Park. There are separate spots for large and small dogs and it is open daily from 5am-11pm. Besides great places to play, Parkville has three vet clinics, at least three options for grooming and Peterson Pet where you can get specialty food, toys and treats.
All in all, the consensus with our K-9 family members is that they are happy to call Parkville home. Make sure to say hello when you see them out and about.
